Tour starts in Victoria with a Charter Bus Ride to Gold River.

If you are ready for a real offshore experience join us on our three day, two night West Coast Adventure Cruise. Once a year the M.V. Uchuck III travels to Victoria for her annual refit, and we take adventurous passengers along for the experience. If you crave the open West Coast then this trip is for you. The cruise begins and ends in Victoria.

Day 1 - May 9th Friday:
Your West Coast Adventure starts with a trip aboard a Wilson coach that is equipped with a bathroom. The bus will depart from the Point Hope Shipyard from Victoria to Gold River departing at 9 am. There is a brand new parking lot across from Point Hope Shipyards but we may be able to park inside the compound as well. The Robbins Parking lot charges 16.00 a day so it would be 48.00 for the time you are gone.  We will keep the guests informed about the parking at the shipyards leading up to the trip.

There will be a lunch stop in Courtenay at White Spot and then the bus will take you up to Gold River. The lunch in Courtenay is the only food not included on this trip. Arrival time is approximately 4:00 pm. Once you’ve settled into the new Baymont by Wyndham located in the heart of the village, you are free to explore the area. Dinner will be at the Baymont as well as early bird coffee and muffins/fruit Saturday morning. There will be a menu sent out and you can decide what you would like for dinner.  Dinner and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

Day 2 - May 10th Saturday:
The day starts early with a shuttle service to the MV Uchuck at 5:30 am. The Baymont Hotel will have coffee tea and some food ready for this early departure. It will be muffins and fruit most likely. When we book the trip you can tell us what you would like in the way of an early snack and beverage to tide you over until you reach the boat.   The MV Uchuck III departs from Gold River at 6:00 am for the first leg of the journey to the Bamfield Inn in Barkley Sound. The cook will have breakfast for you. All food and drinks on board the Uchuck are included. Arrival time at the Bamfield Inn is approximately 4 pm. Dinner will be announced upon arrival.

Day 3 - May 11th Sunday:
After a hearty breakfast, we depart the Bamfield Inn at 8 am for the final leg of your voyage. The MV Uchuck III navigates the open west coast, cruising around the southern tip of Vancouver Island, then up the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria-your final destination. Arrival time at the shipyard is approximately at 6 pm.

In Gold River:
Your fee includes transportation from Victoria, overnight accommodation at the new Baymont by Wyndham Hotel. Dinner at the Baymont as well as breakfast, whether it be an early bird bag of muffin and fruit with coffee or tea from the Baymont or the hot breakfast aboard the MV Uchuck.

All food and beverages on board the Uchuck are included Saturday and Sunday.

Please let us know if you have any food allergies.  The kitchen on the Uchuck is very small and our cook does a great job of making fresh delicious food but her space is limited.

Please note: If you have a serious allergy that requires an Epi pen, please bring it as we do not have one onboard.

Overnight at the Bamfield Inn:
Accommodation, dinner and breakfast. (alcoholic beverages are not included)

What to Bring

• Windbreaker, hats and gloves for warmth
• Water proof footwear
• Sun hat if the weather looks sunny
• Binoculars and/or camera
• Motion Sickness Items include Sea bands for wrists, ginger capsules, Ginger Gravol. (ginger is highly effective for sea sickness) It can get rather sporty at times on the outside but not always.
• Feel free to bring your own snacks if you have special needs.
• If you have serious food allergies, please bring your EPI pen.

As the dock can be very busy save yourself time before coming aboard the MV Uchuck III. DOWNLOAD our waiver for quicker check-in. NOTE: Each passenger must sign and drop off this waiver at our Dock Office before boarding.
